Interested students work with Animal Control officers, volunteers and the public in everything from caring for animals to routine office procedures.

Central Services – Finance and Treasury
Accounting students work towards a list of goals that will give experience in the field of accounting. Work will consist of accounting projects including preparing spreadsheets, account reconciliations, accounts payable filing and other miscellaneous routine office tasks.

Health and Human Services
Work study students gain experience in medical assistant capacities and/or office support experience. Students are a part of our health care team in office support functions and medical interpretation. This experience would be of value to any student interested in health care or general office careers. We can be flexible with hours. Spanish language ability desirable. Organizational, multi-tasking and personal initiative skills important.

Internships and/or work study are available to a select number of college students. These experiences enhance knowledge of the juvenile justice system and give skills to help gain future employment. Interested students need to fill out an application and participate in an interview with department staff.

4-H and OSU Extension Office
Intern and work-study opportunities include working with OSU Extension faculty in forestry, marine, family strengthening, nutrition and youth development. Duties may include collecting data in the field, assisting in program development and/or presentation of programs. Familiarity with computers, word processing and other software tools desirable.
