Below are current vacancies on Clatsop County citizen committees:
Clatsop County is seeking applications for an upcoming vacancy on the county Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission holds land-use hearings, implements the county’s zoning ordinances and comprehensive land-use plan and advises the Board of Commissioners on land-use issues. The Planning Commission regularly meets the second Tuesday of each month in Astoria.

Clatsop County strives to have a Planning Commission that represent all geographical areas of the county and encourages all interested parties to apply. However, applicants from the following planning areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Elsie-Jewell, Seaside Rural and Southwest Coastal. SOUTHWEST COASTAL CITIZENS ADVISORY/ARCH CAPE DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE
Clatsop County is seeking applications for two open seats on the Southwest Coastal Citizens Advisory Committee, also known as the Arch Cape Design Review Committee.
The committee evaluates all construction design review applications for the Arch Cape community submitted to the county Community Development Department. Members must be property owners or residents of Arch Cape. The committee generally meets once a month.
The term for the positions is January 2015 to January 2019. The county Board of Commissioners will make the appointments.

RECREATIONAL LANDS PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Clatsop County is seeking applicants for one opening on the Recreational Lands Planning Advisory Committee.
The citizen committee assists in developing long-range plans for county parks, and formulating amendments to the recreation lands element of the county’s comprehensive land-use plan. The committee meets once a month.
The county board of commissioners will make the appointments.
