Clatsop County's family planning clinic allows you to decide if you want to have children, when you want to have them and how many children you want to have. We offer a physical exam, including PAP smears. Birth control methods are offered at reduced costs.
We offer birth control pills, Depo-Provera injections, foam and condoms, female condoms, contraceptive ring, emergency contraception, diaphragms, IUDs, counseling and referral for vasectomy and information on abstinence as methods of birth control. Nurse practitioners and nurses provide education and counseling about the method you choose and about your reproductive health.
Pregnancy testing is done with full options counseling.
Through our Oregon Contraceptive Care (CCARE) program, many of our services may be free to qualified applicants. Quick screening for CCARE is done at the clinic. Eligibility, once established, is good for one year. Clients may also use the Oregon Health Plan or private insurance. A sliding scale is available for clients who do not qualify for CCARE or who do not have other insurance coverage. No one is denied services because of inability to pay.
